Print this pageForward this document  Disposition of a portion of capital holdings

I entered the keyword PROCEEDS.CG in the capital gains group to indicate that my client sold a portion of his holdings. Because the adjusted cost base was carried forward by DT Max, the program is now assuming that my client has liquidated his position.

When you enter Proceeds.cg, you are telling DT Max what your client has received upon selling capital assets. If he did not liquidate his position, you must enter PORTION-DISP to indicate the ACB of the portion actually sold.
